Helicopter services to Shiv Khori soon says Chauhan

REASI: Shiv Khori is the only religious place, after Vaishno Devi, which has been attracting devotees from all over the country and in a bid to promote pilgrim-tourism, apart from adding other tourist facilities efforts for the Helicopter Services from Viashno Devi, Katra to Shiv Khori are on, this was disclosed by Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Sushma Chauhan, who is also the Vice person of Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board (SSKSB), adding that in the upcoming board meet a detailed discussion on this agenda will be held for taking up the prestigious project on the fast track mode.
She informed that the construction of helipad and allied infrastructure along with approach road is almost completed and helicopter services are likely to start soon.
As the Shiv Khori cave shrine attracted 16,5618 lakh pilgrims this year till April 30, the district administration and SSKSB are geared up to provide every possible facility to devotees to divert pilgrims of Vaishno Devi towards Shiv Khori told Chauhan
Chauhan added that at present, over 3,000 devotees are visiting the cave shrine daily to pay obeisance and their numbers are increasing, adding the mounting number of pilgrims to the shrine clearly indicates that Reasi, is emerging as one of the tourist attractions of Jammu and Kashmir with tourists coming from all parts of country throughout the year and visiting religious places like Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, Shiv Khori, Dera Baba Banda Bahadur, Agarjitto, Naun Devi, Dhansar Baba, Baba Siyad, historical fort Bhimgarh Fort and enjoying adventurous sports like river rafting and hiking, enjoying the lush green hills, watching Salal power project from top of the hill.
