DODA: The High Court on quashed the Public Safety Act (PSA) slapped on a social and human rights activist and leader of Anjuman Islamia from Doda region of Chenab Valley Advocate Babar Nehru on Thursday.
This afternoon, when Adv Babar Nehru was released from Police Station Doda, thousands of fan following youth of Adv Babar in a shape of rally visited his residence to greet him.
At the same time, the excited youth of Doda burnt crackers and welcome his return to home after spending around 83 days in Kot Balwal Jail Jammu.
The people also shouted pro Babar slogans on this occasion.
Pertinent to mention here that Adv Babar Nehru, was arrested by Doda Police and was booked under Public Safety Act on 14th August this year.
A bench of Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar while quashing detention order against the detainee issued by District Magistrate Doda, directed the government to release Babar forthwith from preventive detention.
