Harwan Cricket League concludes AMS Stars Harwan beats Theed Tigers in final

SRINAGAR: AMS Stars Harwan lifted the Harwan Cricket League title by defeating Theed Tigers in the final played at Chandpora, here on Tuesday.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, AMS Stars Harwan made 155 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. Numan played an inning of 55 runs followed by Zameer, who made 48 runs. Athar and Javied shared three wickets each for Theed Tigers.
Chasing the target, Theed Tigers made only 142 runs for the loss of ten wickets. Athar played a good inning of 61 runs for Theed Tigers but all in vain. For AMS Stars Harwan, Saahil and Latief shared three wickets each while Numan took one.
Numan of AMS Stars Harwan was declared Man of the Match for his all-round performance. Sajad Gulzar was declared Man of the Series for making 268 runs and 22 wickets in the tournament. Peer Waasim was awarded for making 449 runs (highest score) in the Tournament.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Srinagar Ajaz Ahmad Bhat was the Chief Guest who said such events should be on regular basis.
Social and Political Activist, Peer Bilal, Aafaq Gadda and Abdul Ahad Bhat also complemented the organizers for holding such tournaments.
Later, the ADDC and Afaq Gada distributed trophies and prizes among the players.
