Handoo releases fitness protocols in Dogri, Kashmiri

JAMMU: Fit India Mission Brand Ambassador and Dronacharya Awardee, Kuldeep Handoo on Wednesday launched Fitness Protocols in regional languages of Dogri, Kashmiri and Urdu in an official function organised by the Sports Authority of India (SAI), here on Wednesday.
Held in a virtual ceremony, the launch event was joined by Director Incharge, SAI Regional Centre, Chandigarh, Pawan Kumar Mattu and Deputy Director, SAI Sports Training Centre (STC) Jammu, Ashok Sharma.
“Under Fit India Movement, Age Appropriate Fitness Protocols for all age groups have been launched by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. In Jammu, the these protocols in official regional languages of Dogri, Kashmir and Urdu have been released by Kuldeep Kumar Handoo, who is Brand Ambassador, Fit India Mission,” Deputy Director SAI STC Jammu, Ashok Sharma said.
While releasing the Fitness Protocols in the regional languages in the presence of SAI officials, Kuldeep Kumar Handoo said, “Fit India is a great initiative of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and SAI.”
Handoo appreciated the efforts for designing the age wise specific fitness protocols as it will help people of all ages to follow these and test their fitness level, accordingly. He assured of taking this movement to the masses of Jammu and Kashmir through their own medium of language.
Earlier, more than 100 officers and coaches of the SAI across the country, states and UTs joined the programme on zoom.
