NOWSHERA : All Jammu and Kashmir Handicapped Welfare Association through its Vice President Rajouri Unit Vinod Sharma along with newly elected MLA Nowshera Ravinder Raina presented a memorandum of demands to Member Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma during his visit to Nowshera.
The association in this memorandum has demanded enhancement of handicapped pension equal to the pension of a class IV Govt employee, implementation of Supreme Court’s ruling for 3 per cent reservation for the handicapped persons, appointment of Vice Chairman for Board of Physically Handicapped people whose population is 6 per cent according to census of 2011 at par with SC/ST and OBC categories, provision of motorable tricycles/scooters for physically handicapped and exemption of tax in purchasing vehicles.
The MP gave a patient hearing to Vinod Sharma and assured him for considering their demands sympathically.
