Halyan XI wins Bhadarwah Campus Cricket Tournament

BHADARWAH: Halyan XI won the Bhadarwah Campus Cricket Tournament trophy by defeating Badrot XI by five wickets in the final played, here on Saturday.
A total of 18 teams from all over the region took part in the tournament.
In the final played today, batting first, Badrot XI was bundled out for 113 runs. The pick of the bowlers from Halyan XI were Touheed, who took three wickets while Chander Mohan grabbed two.
In reply, Halyan XI achieved the target in 15 overs for the loss of five wickets. Rajid scored brisk 36 runs to help his team to achieve target comfortably.
Colonel Ravi Gangotra and Rector Bhadarwah Campus, G.M Bhat were present in the prize presentation ceremony as Special Guests who gave away prizes and trophies to winner and runner up teams.
G.M Bhat in his address assured that in future we will see national matches being played at Bhadarwah Campus Ground. In this connection, Bhat has already put a proposal to Sports Council of India. Colonel Ravi Gangrotra 4RR said that sports is the way to develop team spirit and togetherness among youngsters.
Man of the series: Chander Mohan was awarded Man of the Series award while the Man of the Match award in the final match was won by Rajid. Deepak and Adil Hussain were declared Best Batsman and Best Bowler of the tournament respectively.
