Guv, CM, Dy CM condemn Pampore attack;Express solidarity with bereaved families of slain CRPF personnel

SRINAGAR: Governor N.N Vohra has conveyed his grief on the killing of five CRPF personnel in the Pampore terror attack today afternoon. The Governor conveyed his sympathy to the families of those killed and wished early recovery to the injured personnel.
While condemning the militant attack near Pampore, the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti said, ‘The only purpose of such blood-spattered acts of violence is to add to the tragedies and miseries of the people and subvert the Government’s efforts aimed at bringing permanent peace and prosperity to Jammu and Kashmir.”
Mehbooba said the elements inimical to interests of Jammu and Kashmir have always tried to derail the peace efforts and the latest militant strike at Pampore was again aimed at subverting the peace and development initiatives launched by the Government.
Mehbooba, while expressing solidarity with the bereaved families of the security forces personnel, prayed for early recovery of the injured including civilians.
“I would like to express my sincere condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones in today’s dastardly militant attack,” she said and added that violence has not served any purpose in the past, nor is it going to do anything in future, except shedding precious human blood.
Condemning the militant attack, the Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh described it as the handiwork of elements trying to disturb the peaceful environs of the State. Dy Chief Minister said, “We should all collectively work to defeat these forces who are trying to perpetuate the cult of violence and destruction”.
Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha and General Secretary AICC, Ghulam Nabi Azad has strongly condemned the attack on CRPF personnel at Pampore in which 5 soldiers lost their lives and 22 soldiers have been injured.
It is painful to learn about the death of our soldiers who are fighting a proxy war and had succeeded in creating an atmosphere in the State, as a result of which the tourists from across the world are visiting Kashmir, thereby contributing to the economy of the State.
This terrorist attack at this juncture on our brave security forces should be condemned by one and all.
Azad extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, who lost their dear and near ones in this attack and expected the State authorities and other security agencies to nab the culprits who are involved in such dastardly act.
Former Minister and General Secretary PCC , Dr Manohar Lal Sharma strongly condemned the cowardly attack on the CRPF party at Pampore.Dr Sharma said that this is very unfortunate the BJP PDP government is non serious about the rising incidents of militancy as no serious step has been taken to enchance the intelligence network. A few days before the militant attack in Kud in which the militant Tanvir Ahmed got killed due to the alert co passengers of the bus as well as the alert security forces, hence a major tragedy was averted but this was a matter of great concern that the serious slackness and failure of government on the front of intelligence due to which the slain militant was able to develop a base at Subash Nagar Jammu which can be a launching pad for more militant attacks in Jammu.
Dr Sharma shows the serious concern over the supreme sacrifice of Brave solders and prayed Almighty to give strength to the bereaved families to bear such loss.
Dr Sharma further said that no politics has been going on this issue but we want to ask Mr Modi that you always alleged the UPA government for not taking any action on militant attacks and went to Obama weeping and writing letters to Pakistan as such and promised the country men to bring 10 heads in lieu of one what he will do now, will bring 10 heads in lieu of one, going weeping to Obama of write letters to Pakistan. The people of India wants to know your clear stand unless this will happens again and again our brave solders will sacrificing the precious lives on this front, he added. Expressing anguish over the attack on CRPF convey in district Pulwama, Vice-President BJP Yudhvir Sethi condemned the militant ambush on the security forces and described the unfortunate incident as an attempt by the inimical forces to disturb peace in the State.
Yudhvir said the recent ambushes are targeted to disturb the forthcoming Amarnath Yatra but with the support from the government, locals and security forces the annual Yatra would be completed peacefully.
