JAMMU: A motivational lecture cum interactive session on theme Super Positivity was organised for the students and faculty of Model Academy here on Monday.

The Guest Speaker on the occasion was Vickrant Mahajan, son of the soil and noted author, actor, filmmaker and motivational speaker. The interactive session was attended by Dr. Adit Gupta, Joint Director MIER, Rupa Gupta, Management Representative, Usha Gadoo, Officiating Principal, Manjari Sehgal, Academic Manager, Ruchi Sharma, Quality Assurance Officer and other faculty members of the school.

Dr. Adit Gupta, in his welcome address, introduced the guest speaker to the audience and elucidated his achievements.  He introduced Mahajan as a multifaceted personality who has successfully achieved several milestones. He is bestselling author, motivational speaker, actor-filmmaker and multiple Guinness World Record holder. In September 2014, he became the first person to speak for over 48 hours at a stretch on a single topic, thereby creating a new Guinness World Record for the Longest Speech. Six weeks later, he created his second Guinness World Record for the fastest feature film ever made by writing, shooting, editing, mixing and releasing a feature film in just one day, an unprecedented feat. His latest book – Yes Thank You Universe – was published in 2014.

Vickrant, while interacting with the audience, gave a 10-point mantra to everyone to have a positive attitude in life based on three key words Let Us Enjoy. He said that with a positive attitude, even the toughest hurdles can melt to become pathways to success. He gave examples from real life about the benefits of being super positive, which inspired the audience. He interacted with students at personal level and answered their queries about career paths and choice of vocation. Mahajan super charged the audience with his motivational words and even when the session-closed students wanted more guidance from him.

He was also given a memento as a token of appreciation by the school management. His family members including his father Sham Gupta who is an alumnus of Model Academy accompanied him for the event. Manju Vali, Convener Cultural Committee of the School, compered the programme.
