JAMMU: J.K. Public School, Kunjwani, continues its commitment to environmental stewardship with its recent Plantation Drive held at Talab Tillo area.

Over 250 students from classes VI-X, accompanied by dedicated teachers, embarked on a mission to foster a greener tomorrow under the theme “Go Green.”

Led by their class and science teachers, the students took 200 plants out of which 71 were planted, illustrating their dedication to fostering a closer bond with nature. The event aimed to instill in students the significance and benefits of maintaining green cover, with discussions highlighting the importance of tree planting and its myriad benefits.

Varieties of plants including mango, orange, guava, Amla, lemon, Neem, and litchi were carefully selected and planted, enriching the local ecosystem while providing students with a hands-on experience in environmental conservation.

The plantation drive served as a platform for students to embrace their roles as Green Warriors, making a collective effort to preserve our environment and ecology. Through their enthusiastic participation, they demonstrated a commitment to restoring Mother Nature’s natural beauty and vitality.

Principal JKPS Kunjwani Rajesh Rathore applauded the green warriors and their mentors for taking this commendable initiative.
