Close on the heels of the National launch of ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan’, the Tiger Division of the Indian Army also organised a large scale Swachhta Shapath Grahan Samaroh, today. A total of 9000 personnel of the Indian Army including civilian defence employees took the ‘Swachhta Shapath’ in various Garrisons of Jammu.
General Officer Commanding, Tiger Division addressed the personnel on this occasion and emphasised on the need to fulfil this dream of the Father of our Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. He exhorted all to come forward and contribute meaningfully, in their own small ways to make India a clean country by 2019. Post undertaking of Shapath, all personnel carried out ‘Shram Daan’ in their respective garrisons with a pledge to bring Bapu’s dream into realisation.
