Govt working towards mitigating people’s problems: Hanjura

REASI: Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura said that present government is committed to mitigate day to day problems of people, especially in far flung areas on priority bases.

Addressing a public meeting at Mahore in Reasi District, the minister said that present dispensation under the leadership of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has undertaken a substantial developmental programme in the entire State, constructing bridges, roads, schools, hospitals and other important projects for the benefit of ordinary people.

Hanjura said that special focus is being laid on areas with tough terrain, and geographical disadvantage due to which these have remained backward. He asked the district administration to ensure effective implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes so that the deserving people get the benefits.

The minister said that road and other public importance facilities are being upgraded in the state for its overall development. He urged the people to get maximum benefits from various government schemes and especially from the schemes designed for the people of far flung areas.

Hanjura directed field functionaries to reach out to the farmers to spread awareness regarding various welfare schemes meant for farmers and educate them about the modern crop production technologies.

On the occasion, local farmers also raised their issues and demands. The Minister assured the farmers that all their grievances and demands will be taken into consideration by the government and positive measures will be adopted to resolve the same.
