Govt without Jammu’s CM betrayal with people: Balwant Singh Mankotia
JAMMU: Recalling that BJP had contested the recently held Assembly elections on the issue of Hindu CM and has managed to win 25 seats from Jammu Province, J and K Panthers Party State President Balwant Singh Mankotia said that it would be unfortunate if BJP forms a government headed by a non Jammu based Chief Minister as this will cast to betrayal with the mandate of the people of Jammu.
“Panthers Party support the appointment of the CM from Jammu region if there is any breakthrough in the government formation”, he said.
Mankotia made a plea to the Governor for intervening and facilitating government formation as the present anarchy is affecting the public at large. He said that unlike other States, J and K cannot afford to run its affairs without popular government, as situation here is turbulent on account of terrorism and border conflicts. He also highlighted the plea of flood affected people. He said that they are facing miseries and tough time due to dearth of facilities and inadequate relief.
Others who were present in the press conference included District President Sudesh Sharma, Gulshan Kesar and Parduman Singh.
