RAJOURI: Police on Monday seized government ration siphoned off for black marketing with the arrest of driver and seized the vehicle.
According to a report, on 30th Nov 2014, SHO Police Station Darhal SI Irfan Wani on a specific information seized a Tata Magic vehicle bearing Registration No.JK11-7150 driven by Danish Hussain son of Sabar Hussain resident of Dodaj near Darhal market. During search of the vehicle, police seized three bags (50 Kg each) of rice and two bags of flour (50 Kg each) being supplied for Government Ration Depot Dodaj. The owner of the Government Ration Depot namely Mohi-Ud-Din son of Mohd Iqbal residet of Dodaj used to sell it in black market.
The driver of the vehicle has been arrested while owner of the Government Ration Depot Dodaj is absconding. A case under FIR No. 123/2014 section 3/7 ECA 409/109 RPC was registered in Police Station Darhal.
The whole operation was conducted under the close supervision of SSP Rajouri Dr Haseeb Mughal.
