Govt orders inquiry against two former JMC officers; Jt Comm to investigate

JAMMU: The Commissioner Secretary Housing and Urban Development Department (H&UDD) Mandeep Kaur on Friday appointed Rakesh Kumar Gupta, Joint Commissioner (R&E), Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), as Inquiry Officer to conduct an in-depth inquiry against former Assistant Enforcement Officer (AEO) and Enforcement Inspector (EI).
“In terms of Rule 33(4) of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956, sanction is accorded to the appointment of Rakesh Kumar Gupta, JKAS, Joint Commissioner (R&E), Jammu Municipal Corporation, as Inquiry Officer to conduct an in-depth enquiry into the charges levelled against Kamini Kesar, the then Assistant Enforcement Officer and Naresh Kumar, the then Enforcement Inspector, Jammu Municipal Corporation (Veri-JMU-45/2010),” reads an order issued by Mandeep Kaur. “Chand Singh, Secretary, Jammu Municipal Corporation, shall be the Presenting Officer in the case.” it stated and added, “The Inquiry Officer shall submit the report within a period of 15 days from the date of issuance of this order.”
