HIRANAGAR: Department of Education organised webinar on National Education Policy 2020 (A Multidisciplinary Approach) under the agues of IQAC and Shikshit Bharat. The webinar was organised under the patronage of Dr. Pragya Khanna Principal.
She appreciated the efforts of the Department of Education. Dr. Sushma Bala Chauhan Senior Assistant professor from GCOE Cluster University of Jammu was the resource person. She focused on the main features of NEP-2020 especially Multidisciplinary Approach to the education which was emphasized in the NEP- 2020. She told that the rich heritage of ancient Indian Knowledge has been a guiding light for this Policy i.e Holistic and Multidisciplinary Education (Maths, Engineering, Medicine, Singing, Painting, Soft Skills, and Carpentry). She has shared about the Research Hub in Education and Teacher Education established in GCoE, Jammu initiative of the Higher Education Department of J &K in the line of the NEP 2020. About 100 participants have joined including students and faculty of different colleges. Welcome address presented by Dr. Davinder Kour HOD Education and member Secretary IQAC.
