Govt failed to conduct Amarnath Yatra smoothly: JKNPP

JAMMU: Activists of Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP), on Saturday held a protest against mismanagement and non-serious attitude of the State Government towards Shri Amarnath Yatra.
Led by Zonal President JKNPP, Neeraj Gupta protesters assembled at Exhibition Ground and raised anti-government slogans. “Every year when the Amarnath Yatra commences the separatists try their best to disturb it and hurt the feelings of the people of a particular religion,” Neeraj told reporters.
Neeraj said that no one is allowed to hurt with our religious faith and sentiments.
“It is a conspiracy to disturb the communal harmony of the State and also sends a negative message in the world which will indirectly fulfill the desires and wishes of the separatists and terrorists,” he said. He further said that BJP-PDP Government has proved to be a total failure in making security arrangements for Yatris , smooth running of Shri Amarnath Yatra and also to teach a lesson to the separatists and terrorists. He said that government thinks that by making arrangements at Jammu Yatri Bhawan it has fulfilled all its liabilities, but Shri Amarnathji Yatra is not restricted to the Jammu Yatri Bhawan only.
Yatris are staying at different places in the State from Lakhanpur to Baltal/Phalagam and it is the duty of the government to make best possible arrangements for them and ensure smooth running of the Yatra as soon as possible along with security, he said. Nirmal Kishore, Ravinder Singh, Satvir Singh Manhas, Simranjeet Singh, Gourav Kumar, Rahul Kumar, Gurjeet Singh, Kaku Kumar, Bharat Kumar and Sourav Kumar were also present.
