JAMMU: “The government will expedite the process of filling up the vacant posts in the Revenue Department,” Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Syed Basharat Bukhari informed this on the floor of the Upper House here on Wednesday.
He further said the department has posted all the newly recruited Patwaris against the vacant posts and the recruitment agencies would be asked to expedite the process for filling up the remaining vacant posts.
The Minster was responding to a question raised by Noor Hussain.
He informed that out of the 1,836 sanctioned posts of Patwaris, 1,565 Patwaris are in position while as 239 posts are lying vacant in the department.
The department has already referred the available vacancies under various categories to the recruiting agencies, he added.
“As and when recruitment process is completed, the vacant posts will be filled up,” he assured and informed that the un-referred vacancies are also being referred in due course for recruitment.
