‘Govt committed to better road network’

RAJOURI: Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Abdul Ghani Kohli on Friday said the government is committed to build a network of quality roads which would play a pivotal role in boosting state’s economy.
Inaugurating the 2 km stretch of the first phase of Dhanwan-Dhalyote road on the outskirts of the Kalakote Tehsil, the Minister said, the government is creating road network in the state in such a way that movement of people and transportation of goods can be carried out without any hassles.
Describing infrastructure as pivotal to overall development of the state, Kohli said the state government is actively working towards strengthening public infrastructure including road and rail networks, besides ensuring power and water supply. He said strengthening of infrastructure facilities would not only improve the quality of life but also provide ample of employment opportunities to the youth. Additional District Development Commi-ssioner, AS.Chib, Sub Divisional Magistrate Kalakote, Khalid Majeed, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Dr.Sarfraz Naseem Choudhary, District Animal Husbandry Officer, Dr. Ismail and other district officers accompanied the minister.
