Govt brings permission for movie shooting under PSGA

JAMMU: The government on Thursday brought the permission for movie shooting under the Public Services Guarantee Act (PSGA).
“In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 read with section 8 of the Jammu and Kashmir Public Services Guarantee Act, 2011 (Act No. IX of 2011), the Government notifies the service, timeline and Designated Officer/ Appellate Authorities for the Information Department,” reads S.O. 253 notification issued by Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, Principal Secretary, General Administration Department (GAD). As per notification, it is mandatory for authorities to provide permission for shooting of a movie in J&K within period of 30 days.
“The 30-day period includes 15 days for obtaining No-Objection Certificate (NoC) from the concerned Deputy Commissioner, Home department, Culture Department and Forest Department,” it stated.
“Film production Officer will be Designated Officer while Joint Director Information (Hqr) will be first Appellate Authority and Director Information and Public Relations will be second Appellate Authority,” it added.
