Govt approves voluntary retirement of SSP Kaith, likely to contest assembly elections

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Government on Monday accorded sanction to voluntary retirement of Senior Superintendent of Police with effect from August 31, 2024. Kaith, presently working as SSP in J&K Police is likely to join politics and may contest the ensuing assembly elections from his home constituency Marh.
Known for his qualities of head and heart, Kaith carries a distinction of having served the J&K Polices Organization at different levels.
He joined J&K Police Organization as Sub-Inspector in the year 1990 and having worked as In-charge Police Stations and in SOG at Srinagar in his capacity as Inspector, Kaith was elevated as DySP and served as SDPO Bakshi Nagar, DySP Headquarter, SDPO South (Gandhi Nagar), SDPO Chadwal.
He was elevated as SP in 2013 and served as SP Rural Jammu, PHQ Jammu, Add. SP Udhampur, SSP APCR, SSP Traffic (Rural), SSP Railways and SSP fourth security. The services of M L Kaith in different capacities were always appreciated by the Police hierarchy and accordingly he was rewarded. He has got Director-General of Police Medal, President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Services, President’s Police Medal for distinguished service and other certificates of integrity, dedication and hardwork. Kaith, since his childhood, remained associated with the rural masses and has a great liking within all sections of society in Marh area. A gentleman par excellence, having the capacity to socialize with all segments of society. Kaith has always been loved by one and all. People of Marh area, who have been instrumental in motivating Kaith to seek VRS have welcomed his move and assured full support to him in his political career.
