Governor’s rule ultimate solution to end impasse: ANC
STATE TIMES NEWS
SRINAGAR: Terming Governor’s Rule as the ultimate solution to end the prevailing political uncertainty in Jammu and Kashmir, Awami National Conference (ANC) senior Vice President, Muzafar Ahmed Shah said that every alliance will prove a failure in the long run as different parties pursue different agendas.
“Those who talk of Grand Alliance are befooling people. How can they run a government smoothly when they did not like each others’ faces? When PDP, Congress and NC leaders feel hesitant and are reluctant to even shake hands, under such circumstances, how they will run the government? Such a government will prove to be a disaster. More important thing is that situation will get polarised in case ‘Grand Alliance’ takes shape,” Shah said adding that Governor’s Rule should be imposed in the State for six months and only after that new elections should be conducted in the State.
Shah, in a statement issued here on Saturday, said people of Jammu have given a decisive mandate while the mandate in Kashmir is a fractured one. “Those who talk of keeping BJP at bay should understand that for sake of Power they are actually creating regional divide,” he said.
Shah added that PDP-BJP Government will prove a failure as both the parties pursue different agendas. “PDP talks of Kashmir issue and Self-Rule while BJP pitches for complete integration. Both parties are like railway tracks always parallel to each other,” he said. He asserted that all the political parties in the State are wasting the time of people. “How long they will seek time from the Governor. People have been facing multiple problems. If these parties really think of people then they should clear the air without any delay. My political experience makes me believe that no government is going to complete even three months in the office. It is better to impose Governor’s Rule in the State,” he added.
