Governor felicitates DPS students

JAMMU: Delhi Public School (DPS) participated in on the spot painting competition organized by J and K Academy of Art, Culture and Language in collaboration with Rajya Sainik Board J and K to celebrate Armed Forces Flag Day.
Vrindalika Sharma of class II-D stood first while Aaisha Bandey of class II-L got consolation prize in the Infant Group. In the Junior Group, Prathmash Sharma of class V-I stood second and Vanshee Koul of class XI-E bagged the consolation prize in Senior Group.
The children were felicitated by the Governor N.N Vohra in a special function at Tiger Theatre, Satwari Chowk here.
Principal, DPS Jammu Ruchi Chabra congratulated the children, their Art teacher Suresh and parent for the achievement and grand felicitation.
Meenu Gupta, Headmistress DPS Jammu encouraged the children to keep up their good work.
Meanwhile, a National Level Painting Competition on the topic ‘Energy Conservation’ was organized at NTPC Power Management Institution Film City, Noida Uttar Pradesh by NHPC Ministry of Power, Government of India.
Krishna Sharma of class VI-F of Delhi Public School (DPS), Jammu represented the school and received the award of Honour from Viraj Kala Kendra, Jammu. He was also felicitated by Speaker Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta.
Prominent citizens and artists present on the occasion were Raj Bharti, President Viraj Kala Kendra, R.C Puri Secretary, Red Cross society J and K and Prof. Rita Jitendra.
Principal, Ruchi Chabra DPS Jammu congratulated the student for bringing laurels to the school. Headmistress, Meenu Gupta also applauded the efforts of the winner. President RCT, Ajatshatru Singh, Pro Vice Chairperson, Ritu Singh and Director, S S Sodhi appreciated the initiative and also conveyed their best wishes to all participants.
