Governor congratulates Lt Col Ranveer Singh Jamwal

JAMMU: Lt Col Ranveer Singh Jamwal, who hails from a village in district Samba, called on Governor N N Vohra here on Monday. Governor complimented Lt Col Jamwal for being among a few mountaineers in the world who had scaled Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world, on three occasions. Governor also lauded this young mountaineer’s sustained initiatives to ensure against the collection of garbage on the mountains and to keep them clean.
Spokesperson of the Raj Bhavan recalled that the Governor had given the J and K State Award to Lt Col Jamwal during the period of Governor’s Rule in January – April 2016.
Governor observed that considering this mountaineer’s outstanding achievements he would recommend him to the Chief Minister for a suitable financial incentive.
