Government College for Women Parade students visit Old Age Home at Ambphalla

JAMMU: PG Department of Home Science and NCC cadets of 2nd J and K Girls Bn from Government College for Women (GCW) Parade visited Old Age Home at Amphalla, Jammu on Friday.
The students presented a colourful cultural programme and distributed woolen caps, gloves, socks and biscuits to the inmates.
The gifts were purchased from the funds raised through ‘Exhibition cum Sale’ organized on the occasion of Karvachauth and Diwali by the students.
Present on the occasion were Principal Dr. Hemla Aggrawal, Lt. Col. Rajesh Kumar (Commanding Officer) Dr. Aruna Dubey, Prof. Nidhi Kotwal, Geeta Shrivastav (Adm.Office Capt) and Lt. Suman Lata.
Lt. Col Rajesh appreciated the efforts of the college students and exhorted them to organize such programme for the elderly regularly.
Similar activity was undertaken by the students in the orphanage Ved Mandir where Nukad Natak on importance of cleanliness and hygiene followed by the oath on Swachh Abhiyan held.
Principal Dr. Hemla Aggrawal appreciated the students zeal and dedication to work in the society for the deprived ones.
