JAMMU: ‘RD and Kishore Fan Club’ will be organising ‘Golden Era of Music’, a musical concert on 11th of August at GCW Parade here . Talking to STATE TIMES, founder of RD and Kishore Club, Sunil Sharma said that the musical concert is organised to pay tributes to the icons of music in Indian cinema, R.D Burman and Kishore Kumar.
He added that an array of singers from Jammu and Kashmir will be paying homage to these legends through the medium of their melodious voices by singing songs composed by R.D Burman and sung by Kishore Kumar.
It is worth mentioning here that Sunil Sharma who is also known as Kishore Kumar of Jammu, has a golden voice and has kept Kishore Kumar alive in his heart through his fan club. Every year a music concert is organised by this club to remember the legends. RD and Kishore Fan Club was established in 1993 and since then it is working to keep Kishore Kumar alive in the heart of people.
The club has organised many live shows in which the magic of evergreen melodies of RD Burman and Kishore Kumar in the voice of Sunil Sharma had brought the jam packed auditorium alive.
Sunil feel proud that in music concerts organised by his club the auditorium always echoed with ‘once more.. once more..once more’ after every performance which is an indicator that these age-old melodies still have preference with the present generation and this is what the club is working for the past many years.
Sunil proudly mentioned that this is the only fan club in northern India which has organised the largest number of concerts dedicated to these two music legends.
