JAMMU: GD Goenka Public School, Jammu bagged five medals including two gold, one silver and two bronze in North Zone CBSE Cluster XIII for Judo.
Goenkans produced a commanding performance in CBSE Judo Cluster held at New Delhi from 30th September to 3rd October.
Vanshika Manhas and Prachi Bhagat claimed gold medals in 14 years, below-40 Kg and below-45 Kg categories respectively while Anshika Manhas bagged silver and Kanishk Bhat and Anisha Supolia also brought laurels by winning two bronze medals under-35 Kg and 40 Kg categories.
The Principal of the School, Dr. R.P Singh congratulated and appreciated the Coach Bhanu Pratap for his dedicated efforts. He blessed the winning students and encouraged them to strive and achieve the pinnacle of success and become international players in the said field. He further hoped that the school team will perform their best in the CBSE Nationals to be held at Meerut. Vanshika Manhas, Prachi Bhagat and Anshika Manhas have also been selected for CBSE Nationals.
Cluster XIII comprises of CBSE schools of four states i.e. New Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana.
