GMC Kathua hosts induction ceremony for 1st Prof MBBS batch

KATHUA: Government Medical College (GMC) Kathua in Tuesday hosted the Induction Ceremony for the 1st batch of Prof MBBS students (batch 2022-2023).
The ceremony started with Saraswati Vandana, the welcome address by Dr Sabita Yograj, Prof Physiology & Coordinator (MEU &CC) followed by Charka Shapth, Apron wearing & stethoscope adorning and cadaveric oath conducted by Dr Meenakshi Sharma, Asst. Prof Physiology, Dr Sujata Gupta, Asst Prof Community medicine and Dr Tarsem Kumar Asst. Prof Anatomy, respectively.
Principal GMC Kathua Dr Anjali Nadir Bhat congratulated the students with special mention to students from outside J&K which is the first time in the UT.
She stressed that students follow the rules and regulations of the medical college and advised them on coping with the medical studies and new environment.
She further assured them of providing a congenial atmosphere in the college and the hostel. Senior faculty members Dr Anil Mehta, Prof & Head Obst & Gynae, Dr Rajrishi Sharma, Prof &Head Surgery, Dr Sanjay Kalsotra, Prof & Head Anesthesiology, Dr B N Bhougal, Prof & Head Medicine while addressing the students asked them to follow the advice of Principal and study diligently to become good doctors to serve the community with humanity and dedication.
The ceremony was attended by all the teaching faculty, non-teaching staff, and other staff members of GMC Kathua. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem.
