OONCH: Glamorous Club and LoC XI won their respective matches to consolidate their position in the ongoing EHSAAS Twenty20 Cricket Tournament at Sports Stadium, here on Thursday.
Earlier, in the first match of the day, Glamorous Club defeated Jhallian XI by seven wickets. Batting first, after winning the toss, Jhallian made 99 runs losing all their wickets in 19.1 overs. Mukhtar and Hamza contributed 20 and 15 runs respectively. For Glamorous Club, Deepak, Rahul and Parupkar took three wickets each.
In reply, Glamorous Club chased the target in 14.1 overs. Rishab and Dr Bhubishan (Jonty) remained top scorers with 39 and 21 runs in their respective accounts. For Jhallian Club, Arif claimed two wickets.
Meanwhile, in another scheduled match, LoC XI outplayed Rufi Club by a big margin of 64 runs. Batting first, LoC made 142 runs which in reply, Rufi Club could not chase and was bowled out for just 78 runs in 15.1 overs.
Today’s matches were officiated by the technical panel including Rajneesh Maink, Pervaiz Ahmed, Gurmeet Singh, Umran Shah. This tournament is being organised by EHSAAS Foundation Poonch.
In today’s matches, Colonel Harish was Chief Guest, who along with social activist, Molvi Fareed Malik interacted with the teams and the officials. Both the special guests appreciated the organising team.
