Dear Editor,
Reference to the touching piece from Rohtak, ‘Give them new hope’, it is a pity that old parents who have brought up their children after surrendering their properties are compelled to lead their lives in old-age homes as their children have no place for them. Though parents need their children and their love and affection, they often do not express it, for they want their children to focus on their career and happiness. I could not control my tears reading the treatment being meted out to the elderly. Children should wake up to their duties and responsibilities.
