Girls outshine boys in JKBOSE Class 10 result

JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir State Board of Secondary Education (JKBOSE) has declared the results for class 10 annual regular exams Jammu division.
The girls performed better by scoring 61.54 per cent while the pass percentage of boys remained subtle at 56.78 per cent.
Like last year this time, JKBOSE also not announced the toppers name or other details for the class 10th examination. Students will be given grades and total marks only.
As per reports, a total of 55,045 students including 30,295 boys and 24,750 girls were enrolled in the examination that was held in March this year. About 29,437 have passed the class 10 exams and the overall pass percentage is 58.92.
Out of total successful candidates, 2,176 secured A1 grade, while as many as 3,641 students secured A2 grade, 4,682 secured B1 grade, 6026 secured B2 grade, 7,280 secured C1 grade, 5275 secured C2 grade and 446 got D grade.
Among subjects, Hindi got the top billing with pass percentage remaining at 77.53 per cent while Urdu got 75.40 per cent, followed by English, Mathematics, Social Studies and Science, which got 68.56, 66.54, 65.22 and 64.00 per cent respectively.
