JAMMU: To mark the celebration of the Teachers’ Day, Trikuta Volleyball Club Jammu under the aegis of Volleyball Association of J&K hosted an exhilarating exhibition volleyball match at Playfield Shastri Nagar Jammu today.
The teams of Army Public School Domana and Trikuta Volleyball Club exhibited their latest skills of the game and mesmerized the sports lovers/dignitaries who graced the function.
The event was dedicated to honor the invaluable contributions of teachers who work tirelessly in shaping the lives of their students, both inside and outside the ground. Trikuta Volleyball club won the match.
A colorful cake party was arranged by students/players in honor of their Gurus/mentors who groomed them upto this level.
Incidentally the day was also celebrated as birthday of Mulkh Raj Sharma, Volleyball coach of J&K Sports Council as well.
The teams were introduced to dignitaries Kuldeep Magotra Chief Executive Officer Volleyball Association of J&K, Ramesh Sharma Treasurer, V.K Magotra General Secretary, Manmeet Kour, Veena Kumari Executive members of Volleyball Association of J&K.
The sports lovers especially girls were urged to lead the nation in all fields of life especially in sports to keep them physically fit and fine.
They were asked to avail all facilities being extended by J&K Sports Council for their better future.
The event concluded with a spirited game that showcased impressive skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship from both sides.
