Reasi: To make aware girl students regarding wrestling, Jammu and Kashmir Indian Style Wrestling Association in association with Headmaster Government Girls High School, Pouni, organised an awareness campaign,
Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, Joint Secretary J and K Indian Style Wrestling Association threw light on the career prospects of women wrestling with special focus to biographies of women legends so as to inspire the girl child at grass root level.
Headmaster GGHS Pouni, Vaishno Devi was the Chief Guest who stressed on the girl students to participate in various games under the guidance of Physical Education teachers to avail the opportunities in their careers.
Shiv Kumar Sharma, Treasurer Indian Style Wrestling Federation of India in his message to the girl students assured all types of possible help in generating awareness and making good team of women wrestlers at block levels of the State so that state women wrestling may shine at international arena.
Among others present on the occasion included Ashwani Kumar, Anil Kumar, Ganesh Kumar, Sushil Kumar, Ram Kishore, Sushil Kumar and Rekha Sharma.
