KISHTWAR: In a shocking incident in Palmar area of Kishtwar where a teenage girl died on spot when the service rifle of her ex-serviceman father went off accidentally late last night.
According to reports, Mutayba Kouser,13, daughter of Shabir Ahmed Sheikh Resident of Suzna Palmar, ( 45 kilometres from Kishtwar town) died when a loaded 12 bore riffle of her ex-Serviceman father went off at his home accidentally.
According to sources, victim’s father was not present at home when the gun went off. After hearing the gunshot, the family members rushed to the spot, but the girl died before she could be rushed to nearby health center.
The police team from Police Post Palmar immediately rushed to the spot and took the custody of the body and also seized the weapon. Police started inquest proceedings under section 174 Cr.Pc.
