GHSS Sartingal clinches volleyball trophy

BHADERWAH: To divert the energy of youths towards sports activities and keep them away from social evils, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) 33 Battalion organised 3 days Volleyball Tournament 2024 at Jammu and Kashmir’s Bhaderwah under Civic Action Programme 2024, which concluded here today with the final match and valedictory function.
The tournament was played on Volleyball court at CRPF HQ Sarna Bhaderwah under the supervision of Commandant CRPF 33 Battalion.
DDC Chairman Doda Dhananter Singh Kotwal was the chief guest on the occasion while 2IC 4RR Lt Col Sameer Anurag was the guest of honor. Commandant CRPF 33 Bn Arun Kumar Singh presided over the function. Sapan Suman Dy Commandant, Pankaj Kumar Assistant Commandant, SM Pushpinder Mishra and others were also present on the occasion.
Total 8 teams drawn from different rural and urban areas of Additional District Bhaderwah participated in the tournament.
After winning their leauge matches, the final was played between Govt High School (GHS) Dradhu vs Govt Higher Secondary School(GHSS) Sartingal, in which Sartingal register victory by 3-2 sets and clinch the Trophy.
DDC Chairman Doda Dhananter Singh Kotwal appreciated the CRPF for going extra mile in leading youths towards positive and healthy activities.
He also said that youths are backbone of our nation and appeal them to take part in such activities to be a part nation’s growth.
Commandant CRPF 33 Bn Arun Kumar Singh thanked all participants and dignitaries for their participation.
He said, “We are committed for the welfare of people in all ways and such sporting events will be continued for youths followed by other initiatives.”
“The constructive engagements with the youth are very important to make society a better place and to explore their hidden talents so that they can excel in higher level, “Singh added.
