HIRANAGAR: Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Chandwan emerged winner of Kabaddi title and GHSS Mangloor registered overall victory in kho-kho in the inter-zone tournaments of Sallan, Marheen and Hiranagar Zones in the disciplines of kho -kho, kabaddi and volleyball for under-19 girls.
The tournament is being organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports under the supervision of ZPEO Hiranagar Sukesh Kumar.
Today’s matches were officiated by Uttam Singh, Avnesh Kumar, Raj Kumar, Darshan Kumar, Manohar Lal, Kewal Krishan, Krishan Chand Sanjeev Sunny, Narinder Choudhary and Mohan Lal.
Earlier, GHSS Mangloor thrashed GHSS Marheen in first semifinal of kho-kho while in second, GHSS Hiranagar trounced GHSS Kootah. In final Kho-Kho, GHSS Mangloor put GHSS Hiranagar in trouble in the match and lifted title of Kho-Kho by two points.
In final of Kabaddi, the girls of HSS Kootah could not compete with HSS Chandwan and declined at 20 points thus Chandwan declared as winner by 12 points.
