GGF organises medical-cum-awareness camp

JAMMU: Gandhi Global Family (GGF) J&K, in collaboration with Indian Systems of Medicine, J&K Govt, Akhil Bhartiya Safai Mazdoor Sangh and Green India Foundation on Tuesday organised 191th COVID-19 medical-cum-awareness camp at Patoli Toph Chowk, here where AYUSH Immunity Boosting medicines were provided to Safaikaramcharis and general public through expert team of doctors, following the guidelines issued by the local administration.
Local Corporator Rajinder Singh Jamwal inaugurated the camp in the presence of Chander Mohan Sharma, senior advocate and former member Human Rights Commission, J&K, Dr. Prem Sharma and Jaswinder Singh Kuku, both advisor GGF Jammu, Younis Mattoo, Chairman, GIF, Lucky Chidha, President ABSMS, Amar Moman, General Secretary, ABSMS, Yashpal, Sunny, Gagi Mooman, Rajesh Gill, Sahul Nair, Saroon Nair Nair, Ravinder Kumar and dozens of local prominent citizens.
Over 385 people were attended by Dr. Shifali Sharma, MO, Dr. Sukhpreet Kour, MO and Nishad Khajuria, pharmacist. Earlier, awareness on COVID-19 was also conducted by the team of ISM Doctors.
GGF J&K, President Dr. S.P Varma expressed his gratitude to Dr. Mohan Singh, Director ISM, J&K and Dr. Suresh Sharma – ADMO, Jammu for deputing a competent team of doctors and providing free AYUSH medicines for boosting the immunity of the safai karamcharis.
The camp was dedicated to Krupali Patel Singh, an Indian Gymnast and a gymnastics coach hailing from Jammu.
She won the Arjuna Award in 1989 for her outstanding contributions to Indian gymnastics and is India’s youngest Arjuna awardee.
