KATHUA: General Observer 65- Kathua Assembly Constituency D.N Paday along with Police Observer Shakeel Ahmed convened a meeting to review election preparedness for all the Assembly Constituencies of district Kathua here on Thursday .
During the meeting, District Election Officer (DEO), Dr. Shahid Iqbal, briefed about the arrangements regarding Assembly elections through a presentation. He apprised about the facilities provided at the polling stations especially at model polling stations like arrangements for the aged and differently abled voters, transport plan, security arrangements etcetera.
The DEO also informed the observers about the functioning of various cells viz. media/MCMC, MCC, complaint cell besides expenditure monitoring cell established in the district election office.
General Observers discussed various aspects related to smooth conduct of Assembly elections scheduled to be held on 20th December.
