Geelani has no right to speak on Amarnath Yatra: AIATF

JAMMU: Hitting out at hardliner separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani for his controversial statement over Holy Shri Amarnath Yatra, All India Anti-Terrorist Front (AIATF) , J and K, warned Pro-Pakistani separatist leader, Geelani to desist himself from interference in Hindu religious as he has no authority to speak on the Amarnath pilgrimage.
Led by Anil Sharma, President Punjab and Incharge J and K Wing, a large number of front activists on Sunday assembled at Kunjwani Chowk and raised slogans against Geelani condemning his statement on Holy pilgrimage of Shri Amarnath.
While talking to media, Anil Sharma cleared that Front is giving a clear signal to separatist leaders like Geelani to stop their propaganda against the Yatras of Hindus in Kashmir, otherwise they will continue their protests against the petty politics of Geelani and his henchmen in Kashmir too.
Front (J&K) Wing, President, Bharat Bhandari also said that people like Geelani only giving such statement to disturb the atmosphere of Kashmir, just before the beginning of Shri Amarnath Yatra.
“Who is Geelani to talk about the duration of our holy pilgrimage,” said Bhandari.
Meanwhile, Vijay Sharma, State Chairman of the Front, said that Front activists will work voluntarily in the service of Shri Amarnath Yatris. He also added that not common Kashmiris, but only such elements like Geelani and others want to disturb the holy Yatra.
“Front will not tolerate such kind of controversial statements and cleared to the Geelani to mind his own business and not poke his nose in the affairs of holy pilgrimages of Hindus,” he warned.
All India Anti-Terrorist Front (J&K) wing leaders also added that the front will continue its agitation against terrorism and drug trafficking.
Front also criticized Mufti Mohammad Sayeed led and BJP supported State Government for their silence on the statements of Geelani, which hurts the sentiments of particular religion.
State Media Secretary, Prince Khajuria said that the front will not tolerate anything against Mother India as well as they don’t want anyone to interfere in the religious matters of any religion.
Harvinder Singh Gothra (Sr. Vice President), Gourav Mahajan (Secretary) and other office bearers of the front were also present.
