THANNAMANDI: Red Ribbon Club of Govt. Degree College Thannamandi in collaboration with J&K State AIDS Control Society commemorate World AIDS day. Principal of the College Dr. Shakeel Ahmed Raina was Chief Guest of the programme. During his speech, he focused that being citizens it’s our responsibility to create the awareness among general masses to refrain from such activities which become the root cause of this deadly disease.
Prof. Iqbal Gul and Prof. Ashfaq from the department of Bio-Sciences presented a detailed technical lecture on causes and consequences of AIDS. Prof. Saleem Ayaz Rather (Nodal officer Red Ribbon club) and Dr. Khalid Rayaz presented welcome address and vote of thanks, respectively. Others present on the occasion included Dr. Nahim-Un Nisa, Dr. Arun Sharma, Prof. Mukkadus Kariem, Dr. Punam, Prof. Fatima and various other staff members and students.
