THANNAMANDI: To celebrate Ayushman Bharat Diwas, Govt. Degree College Thannamandi, under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav Programme of Government of India, organised an online essay writing competition.
The programme was organised by Prof. Tahir Nadeem, Department of Applied Mathematics and Prof. Makhdoom Ahmed Department of Mathematics under the patronage of the Principal of the college, Prof. (Dr.) Javaid Ahmed Qazi. The Principal appreciated the efforts of the organisers in creating awareness among the students about the Ayushman Bharat Diwas in general and Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) in particular. In this competition which was judged by Prof. Ajaz Nazir, Head Department of Physics, Chief Librarian Waqar Ahmed Gorsi and Dr. Altaf Ahmed, Head Department of Chemistry, Waqar Hussain and Waseem Ahmed of 5th semester secured 1st and 2nd position respectively whereas 3rd position was bagged by Mukhtar Ahmed of semester 3rd.
