GDC Ramnagar organises national workshop on ‘Yoga for Harmony’

RAMNAGAR: To create awareness on Yoga for wellbeing and as a part of Common Yoga Practices (CYP) launched by Ministry of AYUSH, GOI NSS unit of Govt Degree College Ramnagar conducted national workshop to involve students in Yoga Practices and healthy wellbeing under the patronship of Dr Udhey Bhanu, Principal GDC Ramnagar.
The workshop was conducted on the theme ‘Yoga for Harmony’ under the aegis of Ek Bharat Anek Bharat in collaboration with Brahma Kumari Sanstha Kanyakumari under the guidance of Prof Ritika Mahajan, NSS Programme Officer of the college.
The workshop started with the welcome felicitation by Prof Suresh Kumar Dogra, HOD Physics and Vice Principal of the college. The resource persons of the day were Brahma Kumari Suman Latha for meditation session and Brahma Kumari Siva Sangari for Yog session.
In Session I Brahma KumariSumanLatha described the right way to connect soul with paramAtma and also suggest the right direction to achieve salvation and happiness. She also helped the students to meditate and connect with God.
In session II Brahma Kumari Siva Sangari performed various YogAssanas and also demonstrated various mudras to stay calm, happy and for concentration and focus.
At last, Brahma KumariKokelaJi, District Service Coordinator Kanyakumari thanked the organizers of the event to conduct the programme which is so helpful for mankind. The volunteers and students were also involved in discussion session Finally, vote of thanks was delivered by Prof HarmeetKour, senior faculty member and HOD Botany of the college. Prof Swarna Devi, Prof Om Prakash, Prof Monica Thakur, Prof Shobha Rani and Prof DivyaPuri were also present.
