Ganga for promoting sports, physical fitness among youth

SAMBA: Fifth installment of the Naresh Kumar Memorial Cricket Tournament concluded on Saturday with Khalsa Cricket Club lifting the trophy by defeating Suchani Cricket Club in a grueling final here at the grounds of Higher Secondary School, Rahya.
The Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Prakash Ganga was Chief Guest at the concluding match. SSP Samba Joginder Singh was also present.
Chander Prakash Ganga, while interacting with the players congratulated them on their commitment and dedication towards the sport.
He exhorted upon the youth to channelise their energy and excel in sports, physical fitness to face national and international competitions. He asked them to channelize their energies in positive direction and create a niche for themselves in the field of sports. A total of 32 teams from across Jammu participated in the tournament.
The minister also distributed trophies and certificates to the players of winner and other teams.
This tournament is organized in memory of CRPF Constable Shaheed Naresh Kumar who achieved martyrdom in 2010 during his posting in Jharkhand.
