JAMMU: Gandhi Nagar girls bagged the Basketball trophy of the annual inter-zone Under-19 competition of district Jammu held under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at MA Stadium, here on Saturday.
In the title clash, Gandhi Nagar zone trounced Miran Sahib 20-05 in a one-sided contest. Earlier, in the semifinals, Miran Sahib Zone defeated Satwari and Gandhi Nagar outplayed Zone Bhalwal 19-14.
The technical penal for the event comprised Vaneet Pangotra, Rajesh Bandral, Amit Kalsi and Ranveer Singh.
Later, district (DYSS) officer Jammu, Harvinder Kour appreciated the participating teams for the interesting contests following the laid down norms.
