R.S PURA: MLA R S Pura Dr. Gagan Bhagat on Thursday distributed tricycles and other aids to the specially abled children studying in the government schools of R.S Pura Constituency. Dr.Gagan Bhagat on the occasion underlined the need for the public not to show compassion but to instill confidence among the specially abled.
“Disability is not a curse but an accident. People, instead of showing compassion, should help them to live with self confidence,” he said assuring all assistance approaching the office of the legislator, he further said that the government was extending special care and assistance to persons with disabilities and a survey was currently on based on and the report all steps would be taken to implement the various welfare schemes.
He further maintained that in the coming Assembly session he will raise a strong demand from the government to set up a separate department to take care of the persons with disabilities. ZEO R S Pura Kamla Devi, ZEO Miran Sahib Hakikat Ara, ZEO Arnia Dev Raj, Principal of GBHSS, GGHSS R S Pura, In charges and teachers of government schools of R.S Pura , BJP Mandal Pradhan Natharam, BJP City President Inder Sudan, BJP Mahila Morcha Mandal R.S Pura President Rita Devi etc were present on the occasion.
