GAD instructions on privileges to legislators being adhered strictly: Hanjura

SRINAGAR: Minister for Agriculture Production, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura on Thursday said the Hospitality and Protocol Department has put in place warrant of precedence, protocol, privileges and amenities to the Members of State Legislature and instructions are notified from time to time to follow the same.
Replying, on behalf of Minister for Hospitality and Protocol, to a clubbed question of Dr. Bashir Ahmad Veeri and Mohammad Muzaffar Parray in the Legislative Council, the minister said circular instructions issued by General Administration Department (GAD) and Hospitality and Protocol Department on privileges to the legislators from time to time are being followed in letter and spirit by the Department. He said that any violation in circular instructions is dealt immediately and sternly.
The minister said in case of complaint received from any visiting dignitary or visitor, the same is verified and the action as warranted under rules is taken against erring officer under Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules 1956.
