JAMMU: Mohd Yaseen Kichloo, IPS, SSP CICE J&K, has been honoured with a national award for Cyber Policing at the FUTURE CRIME Summit 2025 in New Delhi. The two-day summit on Cyber Innovations and Synthetic Threats witnessed participation from cyber warriors and experts from across India and abroad.

This summit, the largest of its kind on synthetic threats and cyber security, was held at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi, and brought together more than 1,000 delegates from India and overseas.

The event saw participation from cyber experts, consultants, senior police officers, lawyers, DRDO officials, retired judges, officers from the Army and Air Force, as well as students specializing in law and cyber security.

Discussions revolved around emerging cyber threats, including AI-enabled threats, ransomware attacks, spear phishing, crypto frauds, block chain technology, and quantum computing-related vulnerabilities. Experts deliberated on challenges and possible solutions. Awards were presented to cyber professionals and law enforcement officers for their outstanding contributions in the field.

Mohd Yaseen Kichloo, the only officer from J&K to receive a national-level award, was recognized for his significant contributions to cyber awareness and capacity building. He was recently honored with the President’s Medal and holds two commendations from an Air Vice Marshal of the Indian Air Force. Additionally, he has been awarded the DGP Medal and two other national awards, including the FICCI Smart Policing Award (2017) for Governance and the 2022 National Police Award for Cyber Security.

A prolific writer, Kichloo has authored two books and several publications at national and international levels on Cyber Security.
