JAMMU: In sync with its commitment to holistic wellness and fostering a stress-free work environment, JK Public School, Kunjwani organized a rejuvenating Yoga session for all its teachers on campus.
The initiative aimed at promoting physical fitness, mental calmness, and overall well-being among the teaching fraternity.

The session was expertly anchored by Anita Wangoo, PGT Physical Education, who passionately led the gathering through a series of invigorating yogic postures. Her in-depth knowledge, energetic instructions, and calming presence created a positive atmosphere that encouraged wholehearted participation.
Teachers practiced a wide range of Aasanas including Taadaasan (Palm Tree Pose), Bhujangaasan (Cobra Pose), Paschimottanaasan (Seated Forward Bend), Vakraasan (Spinal Twist), and several others. Each posture was carefully explained and demonstrated, emphasizing the physical benefits and therapeutic value of regular Yoga practice.
The session witnessed remarkable demonstrations by Prince, PGT Physical Education; Nidhi, Physical Training Instructor (Primary Wing); and M.L. Dogra, School Librarian.
Their graceful execution, extraordinary flexibility, and impeccable precision left the audience spellbound. The trio served as brilliant examples of what discipline, dedication, and consistent practice can achieve, further motivating the staff to embrace Yoga as a lifestyle.
Their performances not only elevated the spirit of the event but also highlighted the versatility and commitment of JKPS Kunjwani faculty members who go beyond their traditional roles to inspire and lead by example. The faculty members were unanimous in their praise, calling the session both enriching and elevating.
The event was graced by the presence of key office bearers including Principal Rajesh Rathore, Vice Principal Roopinder Kaur, School Coordinator Inderjeet Kaur, Academic Coordinator Parvinder Kaur, Primary School Coordinator Anju Raj, and Toddlers’ World Coordinator Shivangani Pandotra.
Their encouragement and enthusiastic participation reiterated the school’s collective vision of nurturing both physical health and inner harmony.
After the successful commencement of the Yoga session Principal JKPS Kunjwani Rajesh Rathore congratulated all the teachers for their fitness, flexibility and enthusiasm.
He said, “Yoga is not just a form of physical exercise; it is a way of life. It teaches us balance, resilience, and mindfulness. In the ever-demanding world of education, taking a moment to pause, breathe, and centre ourselves through Yoga and meditation can profoundly enhance our clarity, energy, and emotional strength. Let us embrace these practices not as an occasional activity, but as a daily discipline-one that empowers us to lead with calm, teach with joy, and live with awareness”.
JKPS Kunjwani continues to nurture a culture of wellness, believing that empowered educators are the foundation of an empowered future.
