French Grammar Competition winners felicitated

JAMMU: French Club Jammu and GLS Public School had organised inter-school French Grammar Competition Maître De Grammaire Du Français (Master of French Grammar) on 13th February 2016.
Felicitation programme for the winners of the same was organised at the school campus, here on Saturday.
Among the participating schools, GD Goenka School secured the first position, KC Gurukul Public School stood second and KC International School got third.
Ayush Parihar of GD Goenka School was crowned as Maître De Grammaire Du Français. Agrim Singh of KC Gurukul School stood second and became the first runner up while Anavi Wattal of GD Goenka School stood third and hence became the second runner up.
Among the dignitaries, Dr. Kavita Suri from Department of Life Long Learning and Dr. Sadaf Shah from Department of English, University of Jammu, Latisha Blowria and Dr. Bharti Gupta, Department of Tourism, Central University of Jammu were present as Chief Guest and Guests of Honour respectively.
They felicitated the winning students with medals and certificates and gave mementoes to the schools. The faculty members of the schools were also felicitated.
Arun Sharma, Founder of the French Club Jammu and Dr. Kavita Suri addressed the students and explained the importance of French as a foreign language and also shared the future scope and plans to promote the language.
Gurpreet Singh, the Administrator of GLS Public School presented vote of thanks.
