MAHORE: A cheating case has been registered against a person who fraudulently collected huge money from the innocent un-employed youths of the remote areas promising them ITI diplomas and employment in the government departments.
One of the youth identified as Chet Ram son of Sobha Ram resident of Manjikote, Tehsil Chassan from whom he collected Rs 70,000 (Rs 50,000 in 2011 and Rs 20,000 in 2012), came forward and lodged a complaint in Police Station Chassana that one Zewal Haq son of Jamal Din Malik resident of Bagga, Tehsil Mahore extracted Rs 70,000 promising employment in PHE/Irrigation Department after managing ITI diploma. Complainant said that Zewal Haq after repeated requests gave him a fake order and a fake ITI diploma and asked him to join the Irrigation Department in 2015.
Since it was a fake order the department refused the complainant to join. Zewal Haq neither provided him employment nor did he return the amount of Rs 70,000. Chet Ram therefore lodged a complaint in Police Station Chassana.
On receipt of complaint a preliminary enquiry was initiated by SDPO Mahore. During the enquiry statements of complainant and other witnesses were recorded. Complainant had also produced the related documents and witnesses about handing over the amount before enquiry officer which corroborated the version of the complainant.
After recording the statements of complainant and witnesses and also after going through the documents produced, the inquiry officer came to the conclusion that Zewal Haq among others had prepared and issued a number of fake diplomas to the un-employed youths of Sub Division Mahore and others after taking huge amount from them with the assurance that he would engage them in PHE/Irrigation/Electricity Departments. They had adopted a modus operandi of taking huge money from poor youths and then issuing temporary orders for their engagement and after two three months terminate their service on one pretext or the other. The enquiry officer thus recommended for lodging FIR against the fraudsters on the basis of the complaint.
According to police a case under FIR No.22/2015 under section 420/467/468/471 RPC has been registered at Police Station Chassana and the efforts are on to nab the accused persons in this case.
