JAMMU: Police on Friday arrested four gamblers and recovered Rs 46,100 as stake money from their possession.
According to reports, a police party of Gangyal Police Station raided a plot in Model Town Gangyal and arrested four persons while playing cards. Police recovered Rs 46,100 as stake money besides Rs 7,310 was also recovered from their personal search.
The arrested persons have been indemnified as Depal Singh alias Lucky, son of Joginder Singh, resident of Model Town; Goutam Singh, son of Munshi Ram, resident of Preet Nagar Digiana; Jatinder Singh, son of Bhupinder Singh, resident of Digiana Ashram and Pritpal Singh alias Lovely, son of Rajinder Singh, resident of Digiana Ashram.
The arrested gamblers have been booked under 13 Gambling Act. The arrest was made by Inspector Aejaz Wani SHO Gangyal under the supervision of SDPO South Sachin Gupta, SP South Shezad Slaria and SSP Jammu Sunil Gupta.
